Damn, that sound awsome my own name as a domain. Haha, I own myself. Now, I can tell myself what to do and demand respect... I guess everyone know the next things I'll be typing.

Growing into a network!

I would like to introduce you to my new network, “Growing Ground”. I’ve choose this name because the meaning is based on my websites being planted and grown from the ground up with each seed growing to become it’s own network, in the future.

This site has over 50 pages and growing. It has information on anything related to airsoft guns with content on equipment, types of guns, games, safety precautions and more…

GirlyGame.net
This game site was developed to target girly girls, who enjoy playing flash games with out blood or fighting. It’s actually my wife’s idea and site.

Talkingboard2u.com
This site is still in development with information on talking boards more well know as Ouija boards. It has a page on related names for talking boards, which is rather interesting.

Paintballsupport.com
This site will have loads of information of the extreme sport of Paintballing. It’s still in development; however, it already has a great amount of information that can help any person interested in this sport.

For the longest time, I’ve been trying to some what keep most of my sites a secret but recently realizing that anyone who really wants to find out the sites that I own can easy find out with a little bit of researching. This is why I’ve decided to uncover my sites and talk about them more often.

Visiting the park

We drove to the park because the city has been displaying around 50 different large Santa cutouts in a small area of the park. If you were wondering who took the picture, we both did… First Meghan took a picture of me and then I exchanged spots with her and took a picture of her. When we got home she used Photoshop to merge the pictures together.

Did you know? It does get cold in Arizona. In the picture it was about 32 degrees. We were freezing! We’ve always lived in Arizona so we aren’t used to cold weather.

SEO: 301 Redirect

Yesterday, I was reading Jon Waraas’s Blog on using a 301 Redirect on all of his websites. He explains that using this little tip will send you to http://www.sitename.com when you type http://sitename.com. This avoids search engines from giving http://sitename.com credit. Instead your main address will receive the credit. Basically, this little tip on improving your ranking will merge the two addresses into one.

How to do this?
You might be wondering how you can do this little SEO tip too. All you have to do is access your .htaccess page and add the following code.

RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^(.*)\.sitename\.com$ [NC]
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.sitename.com/$1 [R=301,L]

Replace “sitename” and "TLD" with your site’s name and TLD.

Al’s first question, He asked, “Where did you get started?”
The very first site I developed was in 2001 for my Boy Scout Eagle Project on the topic of Testicular Cancer. At that time, I wasn’t aware of the chance of making income from developing a site. It wasn’t until 2005 that I found out there was a chance of me making money online. I was studying and trying to develop sites for 4 years until I made my first $0.16 (July 1, 2005). Keep in mind I wasn’t trying to make any money during this time because I wasn’t aware that I could. The first month I started to try to make money was December 2005, which I made $33.76. Since then I’ve been studying and testing different layouts, ad placements, and more.
Al’s Second question. He asked, “Where did you earn your first dollar on the web?"
After moving my first site to its own domain name, I made my first $1.00 from AdSense. I don’t think I could explain the process of making your first dollar because it took me four years :). It was a great feeling knowing that I made a dollar without working for someone. The key in making your first dollar is to keep it simple, using trial & Error, and work to learn not money. When your are developing a site focus on using your site to help the people on your topic not on how much money the site will make at lease in the beginning. Also use your first site to test out different methods. The number one thing to do is use your thing between your sideburns.

Al, your goal on seeing a dollar amount in AdSense is a great idea. I remember when I first started, I set goals of making any amount of money and seeing a small amount in my AdSense account made me very happy. Think of it this way, every racer must start at the beginning of the track to reach the finish.

Avoid owning to many domains!

I hear about Internet Entrepreneurs owning to many undeveloped domains all the time. The domains just sit in their collection yelling, “Develop me”. These people never have the time to develop these sites because they have to many and feel over whelmed. Well, let me enlighten you with my secret on avoiding that dilemma…

After registering a domain, I fully focus on that domain until it earns my initial investment back, which is normally only $8 for the registering fee. This means I never purchase another domain until my previous domain returns the invested funds. In the beginning, this would take around 4-6 months however now it only takes about 30 days.

When you first start out, you might want to register 3-6 domains to create volume so you arn't just focusing on one site that doesn't work. But remember not to register another domain until these sites bring you back the invested funds. When developing one of these sites first develop the site then promote it after you have a finished product (site). You might even want to develop the 3-6 on related topics so you can cross-link them.

Jon on shoemoney's show

Earlier today, Jon was a co-host on Shoemoney’s radio show at www.webmasterradio.fm. I personally don’t know either one of them but I’ve been reading and learning from Jon for a while now. Jon’s Blog has been very helpful in my journey with my favorite article being, “Applying the K.I.S.S. Method To Your Projects”. I’ve been using this method on my projects and been seeing great improvements compared to my past site projects. On the other hand, I haven’t really been reading or learning from Shoemoney because he “seems” like a big douche.

About the Show
All in all, the show was a great learning tool. It was funny to hear how normal Shoemoney and Jon sound but they are making a shit load of money. I noticed Shoemoney seems more anal than Jon. I really enjoyed. Their conversation about developing a simple website that makes a profit even if it is only $1 a day. After finding a working method, begin creating volume. I realized this about three months ago and my profits have been increasing since. This is also related to their comment about people need to stop looking for a magic key and just start developing sites.

I wasn’t able to join the IRC Chatroom however I hear that the moderators were banning everyone and not really helpful. I’ve noticed most chatrooms for specific events are normally very unorganized. I am not disappointed in missing the chance to be in the conversation in the Chatroom.

Jon really stuck it to the Warrior forum and Shoemoney’s sister asked him not to be haten on the Warrior forum. And all Jon said was, “Why not”.

It is that time of the month boys and girls… posting my earnings. It was a very profitable month with multiple sources of income. In the past, my daily average never made it over $10 however this month the daily average not only surpassed $10 it also surpassed $20. My daily average was $21.87 and a monthly total of $656.10.

The Bone Thugs Concert

As I write this, we are on our way back from the trip to the Bone Thug Concert. At the concert, we waited in line for 4-hours, which put us in the second row. We should have been in the first row but some fuckers cut in line. The performance from Krayzie Bone, Wish Bone, and Layzie Bone was amazing. Their voices harmonized perfect together. When we get home, I’ll post some of the pictures.

The coolest part is that my websites paid for this whole trip, selling two sites and an adsense check.

Raise your Hand, “my hand is raised” if you would like to kick the people, who develop annoying spy ware, in the nuts! Right in the nuts! A few days ago… I had to format my hard drive because all the spy ware was eating all my recourses, making my computer operate like it was retarded. Any one else has had a retarded computer?

2. 3 Days Earnings
Why has the last three days been great, you ask? Well… The progress of achieving my goal on having a passive income of $1,000 a month by January 2007 is doing exceptional. The last three days, AdSense and Yahoo Publish have made a total of $74, which is about $25 a day. I can only hope this will continue and improve in the future.

3. Link Exchange Request
I’ve been ignoring webmasters who been sending link exchange requests. I feel bad… Wait no I don’t because these webmasters want a link on my main page or link page for an link on their page with over 100 or their directory. 4. LP Project
Since the beginning of this project, I was debating on revealing the site or keeping it a secret. I’ve decided to reveal the site to the wonderful readers on my blog. Here it goes… It’s a 50-page information site on Airsoft Guns. The site address is http://www.theairsoftgun.net. Seeing that it was my first large information site, the organization was a little sloppy. I believe my similar future projects will turn out cleaner and the organization will be improved. 5. The Next Project
I decided to develop another large information site that requires a low amount of cash investment but high amount of writing. Seeing that writing is my weakness, this project is great because it allows me to practice my writing skills. It will be following the same guidelines as the LP Project. Yesterday, there was 12 days before my 6th month wedding anniversary and 26 days until the Bone Thugs, which is Meghan’s favorite music group, concert. I estimated it would cost around $220 to be able to make this anniversary gift come true so I had 26 days to earn $220 excluding any money earned from my daytime job (Carpet Cleaning). I had the idea to sell one of my sites to come up with that cash. One day later, this morning I was able to sell two sites for a total of $285. It was a very memorial moment in my Internet Entrepreneur life.

2. Sold 2 Sites
This morning with the help of Khalid, I was able to sell infantseczema.com for $90 and tricepworkout.net for $195 with total of $285. This should greatly improve my daily average for this month. As I said earlier, I will be using $220 for the trip to the Bone Thugs Concert, $35 to reinvest back into my websites (probable buying more domains), $30 for bills. The total time spent on selling these sites was roughly 2 hours. I honestly believe no employer would ever pay me $142.50 an hour…

3. The LP Project
I’ve been really enjoying the writing experience gained by this project. It is 80% done and has earned $45.29. Keep in mind that I’ve only invested $10 in to the domain and nothing in the advertising. I am debating on telling everyone this site URL when completely finish or keep it secret.

4. SchmuckGame.com
For the last month, it has been averaging around 140 visitors a day. I am happy with its consistency. Anyways… A while back, about 3 months ago, I decided to have my brother update the site weekly with new flash games. Earlier today, I called him and he said, “I need to talk to you about updating the site”. I had a gut feeling that he was getting tired of updating the site… My gut was correct. He wasn’t enjoying it. I was fine with it because I understand that developing or updating sites aren’t for everyone. I’m pleased he at lease gave it a chance.

5. Advice

The last few days have been interesting… Most of you know that I had cancer in 2001 however most of you don’t know that the chemotherapy treatment did a number on my teeth… Two days ago, my wife and I had to go the ER because my bottom left jaw was swollen caused by one of my infected tooth. The doctor gave me prescriptions of Percocet and Penicillin and he told me, “You need to call the dentist tomorrow”. Well… I wasn’t able to get an appointment until today. Earlier today, the dentist pulled my tooth, which was dreadfully painful!!! Now, my mouth is swollen and hurts however I am happy to finally get rid of that tooth. Last week, I was not expecting on having a week like this.

2. 10 simple steps in developing an information site.

1. Find a niche
a. Use this program, inventory.overture.com to find the amount of searches are done last month on a specific keyword then use Google to see the competition.

2. Select keywords
a. You could use Google Adwords to find high paying keywords. This is also a great way to find topics for your articles.

3. Register a domain with the main keyword
a. Keep the domain easy to remember. I recommend not using a dash in the domain for example keyword-keyword2.com because it makes it difficult to remember.

4. Develop a very basic design
a. If you would like, I could send a simple design for $10.

5. Write three 200-300 word articles
a. If you’re a bad writer, have a family member review it before publishing on the site. Also remember practice makes perfect!

6. Implement PPC advertising on the pages.
a. I recommend advertisement under your navigation and at the bottom of your article however testing different advertisement placement is your best choice. The advertisements should blend into your site.

7. Exchange link with related sites.
a. In Google search bar, type - keyword AND “submit site”. This should find related site to exchange links with.

8. Submit to free directories
a. Easy directories section has some easy and free search engines to submit to.

9. Post on related forum
a. Similar to finding link exchanges, type – keyword AND “Forum” in the Google search bar.

10. Leave the it alone
a. However you could slowly add more articles to improve the site but it is not required.

3. Information sites
As an Internet Entrepreneur, my favorite projects are developing Information sites because the quick return in my initial investment, which is only $10, and the passive income. For example, my newest LP project (which I will talk about latter) has already made me over $20 in its first month. I know it isn’t that much however think about it… If you develop 20 information sites for $200, you could make +200% back on that investment in the first month plus the additional income on the following months. No bank in the world could achieve +200% on your return.

4. The LP project
Yeah. I have decided to use code names because it makes it easier to refer too. The LP stands for Largest Project. This project is my largest information site so far. I’ve already mentioned the LP project before in a previous post. It is following the guidelines of Jon’s article, “Applying the K.I.S.S method to your projects”. The project is about 50% done and staying on schedule, which should be finished late September. In the future, I am planning on outsourcing tasks to be able to finish similar projects quicker.

5. Advice
In the beginning, as an Internet Entrepreneur, money is very limited. That is why you should start small projects to learning the basics. Next time you have an extra $10 register a domain and begin developing a simple site, instead of buying a music CD that will only site on the shelf.

I’ve been having trouble staying in touch with my Internet and personal friends. I have a feeling that they think I am avoiding them. The truth is my daytime job (Carpet Cleaning); Becoming wealthy online, and spending time with my wife has been using up all my time. The small amount of free time I do have is spent resting.

2. July’s Growth
For the month of July, my entire site collection had 24,170 unique visitors.

3. July’s Profit
The month of July was very profitable with the net income of $385.99.

4. The Four Bought Informations Sites
Last month, I told everyone about buying four information sites form my good friend Khalid. It was a smart choice to buy these sites because my daily avarege has increased $2.39 a day. I’ve owned them for only 26 days and made a total of $73.94.

5. Gameoftheday.net
I trully believe in doing less and to achieve more. That is why I am getting tired of updating this site daily. It is using up to much of my time so what I really need to do is get a script that would automationcally update this site with a new flash game every day with out using my time. 6. Goals
I enjoy setting goals but my favorite part is achieving them. I have decided to really challenge myself with my next goal, which will be very gratifying to achieve. 1. Personal life
This coming up week end my old brother and I are replacing the head gaskets, timing belt, and water pump in my wife 1996 Kia Sportage. Two weeks ago, the water pump went out and the engine over heated and broke the head gaskets. We are hoping the engine block isn’t cracked, which there is about 10% chance. Wish us good luck!

2. The information sites
Since the beginning, I’ve always enjoyed developing information sites (not adsense ready content sites) with quality content; however, I’ve always been a weak writer so I’ve decided to focus on this weakness and make it into my strength. The first step in focusing on this weakness is by practicing, practicing and practicing. I’ve determined to develop my largest information site project ever. It will be following Jon’s guidelines in his “Applying the K.I.S.S. Method To Your Projects” article:

- Find a Niche
- Research 10 different topics that cover the niche
- Write down 5 main ideas for each of the 10 topics
- Each 5 main ideas only need to be 1 or 2 sentences
- Write an article from each of those 5 main ideas
- Should equal around 50 articles (pages).

So far, I’ve developed the site, researched the 10 topics, and wrote the 5 main ideas. This site is already online and already with only 12 pages has been getting great results. My plan is to develop this niche project then move on to another niche project. All of these projects will have unique content written by me until I’m happy with my skill of writing.

3. SchmuckGame.com
Awhile back, I wrote about hiring my first employee, which is my little brother Matt, to update the site with a new flash game, weekly. Keeping everyone updated, I am very happy in this choice to hiring him. He has been doing a wonderful job and the site has been receiving over 200 unique visitors a day. The most wonderful factor is that the site requires very little of my time so I can focus on other projects (my largest information site).

4. Internet entrepreneur friends
As of right now, I only have one Internet Entrepreneur friend, Khalid. I truly do want to get to know more Internet Entrepreneurs but I’m lazy so if you are one send me a line and we can get to know and help each other.

5. Goals
As an Internet Entrepreneur, I need to set goals for myself. About three months ago, I made these following goals I want to achieve in three months. Well… It will be three months on August 10th, which is only 16 days away.

- Average $10 a day for a month
- Develop a total of 10 websites
- Sell one site for a profit

I should be able to achieve the first two however I’m having problems with the last goal of selling a site for a profit because I don’t like selling my sites. I’ll keep everyone updated on the final outcome.

6. Advice
Discover one of your weaknesses and develop it into one of your strengths. After you’re done with one weakness then begin improving on another. The best way to improve a weakness is by focusing on it.

Bought Four Information Sites

Earlier this week, I bought four information sites from my good buddy, Khalid. He wanted some money to boost his future project. Code name 6NP, which looks excellent so far. The project must be keep unrevealed until the grand opening but trust me it is first-class.

My First Employee

I’ve been developing a system for adding new flash games to schmuckgame.com to teach someone. This will allow someone else to manage the site. This someone will be my brother, Matt. Even though he has no experience in managing a site, he is very quick on learning new skills. Both of my brothers are special like that. On Saturday, I will be teaching him the system. I know Matt will do a wonderful job because he is a wonderful brother. I will be paying him with money orders to keep record, for now.

Developing this system and hiring Matt will allow me to focus on other new projects without harming SchmuckGame.com.

I’ve heard a lot of people say never hire family members, but my family is different. We’ve been home schooled all of our lives and get along great. We trust and love each other. I would do anything for my family.

My First Partnership

A partnership is about to begin! That’s right I've been talking to Khalid Al-Khames (check out his blog) in becoming a partners in our upcoming project. I've never had a partner before so this project should be a very educational experience. I am so excited! I am keeping my mouth shut about the project until the opening day. However, I know you could figure it out if you tried hard enough.

All I am going to say, "It will be a great resource for Internet Entrepreneurs".

Khalid Al-Khames is a smart guy. He was the one with the idea and the domain. The sky is the limit with this project. We will be able to learn a lot from each other and help fellow Internet Entrepreneurs with their journey to success with this project.

During this post, I checked the mail and found my second wonderful check from Google for $214.72. I know it isn't much but it shows me that I am on the right track. I never thought I would get paid for something I love doing.

Forum Posting - Promotion Technique

It can be a very affective way to boost the traffic to your site. How to find the related forums to post on? Simple, you use Google or anyother search engine to do this. In the search bar type “Keyword forum” and the top forums related to your site will show up. After finding these forums, you need to introduce yourself and start contributing to their forum with quality post. This will get the right people to visit your site.

Always have a link back to your site either in your signature or post. Never have too much links referring back to your site or they will consider your post Spam. This would give you a bad reputation.

Testing the technique.
Today, I am going to carry out this promotion technique for my acne site, acnescar.org. So far there as only been 1 visitor to my site, today. It averages about 4 visitors a day. The related forums will be a secret... Sorry.

Only the visitors that are referred from these forums will be counted. There will be 3 different related forums that are being used. I will post 2 new topic and 3 replies on each forum, which will total of 15 posts. Tomorrow, I will give you an update on the progress of this promotion technique.

Personal Challenge – Defining risk

The following is my definition of risk in my own words. As an Internet entrepreneur, you must know the difference characters in financial risk.

“Financial risk comes in many different characters. One character would be relying on a paycheck that requires you to work every month. This could cause problems if you ever get injured and unable to work. In other words you would be red lining your finances. Another bad character would be having debt to pay every month. This is even worse because it brings in absolutely no income and sits in your liabilities eating your money. Both of these bad characters are much riskier than these good characters like owning assets that generate cash flow every month or spending money on your financial education such as, books and seminars. Understanding the difference between the bad characters and good characters in finances is vital in having financial freedom.”

Now you should write a paragraph defining risk, so you can completely understand what your inner thoughts are on risk. Lets just say you should understand it so you can defeat it.

I just received my business cards for SchmuckGame.com. I am about 90% satisfied with the outcome of the print quality. Even though the cards didn't turn out exactly how I wanted, they are still good.

Today, I am going to go around town distributing them.

I received a pleasant email, yesterday, notifying that my site GameoftheDay.net will be featured on coolsiteoftheday.com on May 5. This wonderful news was unexpected and has motivated me to improve GameoftheDay.net before May 5. The to-do list includes:

- Cleaning up the design
- Color Scheme
- Database (Finding someone to help me make one)
- Allow visitors to submit their flash game
- Designing some banners (If anyone would like to help, let me know)
- Past games of the day (archive)

Anyone have more ideas on improving Gameoftheday.net? The main concern is cleaning up the design and developing the archive. As of now, I am awfully limited in developing Databases so that might have to wait.

Submitting your site to different (site of the day) type of sites could highly increase your visitors for free. It never hurts to at less submit your site.

There is a lot to do so I better get started.

My Wedding Ceremony

In Laughlin, on the 18th, I tied the knot with my wonderful girl, Meghan. The wedding went flawless. I couldn’t ask for anything else. It took place on the Colorado River in the Fiesta Queen with a total of 20 guests, which only included our closest family members.

The pastor was great! His words, “only share your love with each other and never share it with others be selfish.” repeats in my head.

Meghan was shining like an angel. The sight of her floating down the aisle was heart lifting. My eyes have never seen anything more beautiful.

Well… I think you get the point, I am grateful to be with such a wonderful wife.

Last month, schmuckgame.com averaged 105 visitors a day. This was a nice increase from January, which averaged 44 visitors a day. Now that you are aware of it, I’ll talk about what I did this last month to help the increase.

Game Page Redesign
The old design was bothering me because of all the white space and the content was to spread out. However, in the new design, the focus is the game and the game info is organized. This information is below the page fold because most of the visitors’ goal is to play the flash game.

Today. I am search the Internet for good flash game forum sites to promote my Flash Game Site, SchmuckGame.com. I'll only post to help the forums and not to Spam my site.

Also, I am thinking of having a Flash Game Site reviews on sites that I get my Flash Games from, but I am still debating on it. This would help my placement in search engines and give my visitors more to read.

Talking about more to read. Another idea is to include articles on flash game visitors topics such as, well… I can’t think of any right now but while at work I’ll be thinking about it.

Beginning of Motivation

This will be my journey, a difficult Web developers journey with curves of unknowing. I’ve decided to make a blog to keep me on the path of a successful Web developer, what ever that is. My goals, to-do lists, thoughts and anything else I can think of will stay here for now on.

The beginning starts now. My opening goal is to gain a daily profit of 0.50 cents by one of my websites by 2006. I am going to focus mostly on dontbeaschmuck.org because it as the most potential.
